On the occasion of Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day (April 21) · Celebrating the Reunification Day (April 30)

Do you have a story, an emotion, or a sense of pride you want to share?

In celebration of Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day (April 21) and the Reunification Day (April 30), the Library of Nam Can Tho University officially launches the contest:

"DNC – Touch Books, Ignite Knowledge 2026"

Participants: All DNC students and learners

Contest content — choose 1 of 2 topics

Topic 1 · When I “touch” knowledge

Write a reflection (no more than 2,000 words) about a book that has influenced your thinking, lifestyle, or learning journey.

Topic 2 · Proud of Vietnam

Choose one of two formats: write a book reflection, or compose a short story, essay, or poem.

Suggested content:

Portray the image of President Ho Chi Minh, Vietnamese youth, and national cultural–historical values
Patriotism associated with the anniversary of Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 – April 30, 2026)
Spread the passion for reading and honor the value of knowledge

Timeline

Submission period: April 20 – May 3, 2026
Awards announcement & ceremony: May 8, 2026
